really liked her a LOT! so sweet & nice altho I wouldve rather been able to get an appt w/my Dr - that wasnt possible bcz he was too busy. When I did see him, he had a different opinion abt my problem (& I trust him bcz of his experience) & wouldnt have given me the same meds so that was disappointing since I hate to take antibiotics. They make me sick. I felt bad for a few days (as usual)

Nurse Rivas is one of the best FNP-BCs in San Antonio TX. She is warm and professional and never seems to be in a hurry to leave our exam room to go to the next patient. She is caring and nice, and we are happy when I am assigned to her due to our primary doctor being overbooked.

Ms. Rivas is not only PROFESSIONAL and KNOWLEDGEABLE, she CARES about her Patients. She’s very outgoing and friendly. She cares and explained what she was doing and looking for during the visit. She talks to the patient in layman terms. That makes her “SPECIAL”.

First time I had seen her since my primary doctor had to cancel his appointment. I did not feel she was engaged in our conversation. She asked same questions several times. She changed medication but could not get it to go thru, then finally came back after asking and changed again. Also come to find out, she did not delete med I was taking from my list but also added the new one. I found this on the Portal and had to bring it up on follow up visit the next week. She seemed like she was not paying attention to me. I asked to not have her again.

See prior response. I do not promote service providers. Nurse Rivas seems to be a superb healthcare professional. Personally promoting her would be weird...I and I imagine the vast majority of patients are not qualified to thoroughly review and then promote providers.

Dr. Rivas, to me, provides the "Old School" doctor/patient example that every patient wants and needs, especially for older patients. When I met Dr. Rivas during my appointment, I immediately felt her caring nature as well as noticed her outstanding knowledge in medicine. She answered all my questions and explained in a very clear manner. She made me feel that I was being properly cared for and that, to me, is very important.

Cut me off numerous times while I was talking, didn’t read any of my chart prior to coming into the exam room, assumed I was a type 2 diabetic (I’m type 1), and made off-putting comments about family planning. She assumed I’d be on weight loss drugs by now, and was too assumptive overall.
