Mohammadullah Faiz, MD

Mohammadullah Faiz, MD, practices family medicine. He attended Kabul University School of Medicine, completed his residency at UT Health Science Center and is board-certified by ABFM. His care philosophy centers around forming team-based relationships with patients.

Dr. Faiz was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after a formative experience as a teenager, during which his father was ill, and a physician took excellent care of him. He chose to specialize in family medicine so he could take care of a wide range of patients and use all of his medical knowledge. He strives to work as a team with his patients, ensuring they know he cares about them. He tries to answer all of his patients’ questions and concerns and never makes them feel rushed.

Dr. Faiz was born in Afghanistan. He is married with three children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with his family. His favorite parts of his job include teaching, taking care of patients over a long time and saving patients’ lives through early intervention. Clinically, he has a specific interest in treating asthma, COPD, dementia, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity, among others.
