Biography

Norma Washington, NP, practices family medicine. She trained at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is board-certified by the ANCC. Her care philosophy focuses on building trusting relationships with patients to provide high-quality care.

As a family nurse practitioner, NP Washington sees patients of all ages and manages various medical conditions ranging from common colds to renal and heart failure. She is particularly interested in preventive care and treating behavioral health problems, women’s health conditions, dementia, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, musculoskeletal conditions and obesity.

Her favorite part of being an NP is working with her exceptional colleagues and building strong relationships with her patients. She listens to each patient’s thoughts, experiences and home remedies and works with them to achieve the highest quality of life. NP Washington resides in Texas with her son and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and trimming her dogs’ hair.
