Dr McGrath is very caring. She listens to my concerns and does not rush me. On my last visit [omitted] we discussed about the result of my last blood work where it showed I was low on potassium. She advised me to make a habit of eating bananas. About my coughs caused by GERD, she advised me to take Pepcid once a day which I feel is helping. She also advised me to exercise regularly.

She is confrontational and difficult. We just don’t sync up well. I’m not sure I trust her yet. She doesn’t come out and call you a liar, but she argues with me about my own recollection of our discussions which is very off putting. I miss my previous physician who I got along with very well. Dr McGrath also is unwilling to give referrals as necessary. It makes my wellbeing in question. I got the impression she made me wait for an hour on purpose to teach me a lesson for looking for a different physician base on a comment she made while I was there about bouncing around with doctors. I’ve never waited long in that office previously.

She refused to refer me to specialists. I have medical issues. I have a hernia that needs surgery and she said that everyone has a hernia, and they don't do anything unless it is an emergency for a hernia. I have fatty liver disease and she said that I didn't need a specialist, and that everyone has that disease. She could monitor me. She could see that I was not happy with that, so she said if I was not okay with that then I could find myself a new Doctor. .

I like her as my primary, but I want to see an endocrinologist for treatment of my thyroid ( she knows my family history). I asked her for a referral, but she refused. I have an appointment with one any way that I will have to pay $200 out of pocket because of that. She is not an endocrinologist, I have let her try to regulate me 4 times, and she hasn't gotten it right. It's my body, and I'm not taking any more chances

Because she really shows no concern in my health . When I asked to see a specialist for a heart specialist she was rude in telling me she will not send me to one where it concerns my Aorta valve slightly collapsed . She sent me for imaging was a Bone Density test in [omitted] and said she would watch me closely . Went to the emergency for chest pains and did a follow up with her but she denied me a referral to see a heart doctor .
