Biography

Sowmya Kalathuru, DO, treats her patients with kindness and respect. As a family physician, she enjoys meeting new patients and listening to their unique stories.

Dr. Kalathuru's passion for science led her to the path of family medicine, which allowed her to focus on providing preventive care and building long-lasting relationships with her patients. She received her medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at Texoma Medical Center. Some of her specialties include treating allergies, arthritis, asthma, diabetes and more.

Although she was born in the Dallas, Texas, area, Dr. Kalathuru now resides in San Antonio. Outside of her profession, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and gardening.
