Biography

Tapasya Mandalapu, MD, is a board-certified internist at Kelsey-Seybold. After earning her medical degree at Guntur Medical College in India, Dr. Mandalapu relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where she performed as a clinical research associate. She then completed an Internal Medicine residency there at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2019. Dr. Mandalapu joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2025.
With many physicians in her family, Dr. Mandalapu grew up hearing their stories and wanting to make a difference in others’ lives in the same way. As an Internal Medicine physician, she provides comprehensive primary care to adult patients, including well care and sick care for acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorder, mental health concerns, heart failure, high cholesterol, COPD, asthma, and more. Her clinical interests include preventive care and women’s health, as well as care for menopause, post-menopausal health, and chronic conditions.
