Karla Maltez Salvador, MD

Karla Maltez Salvador, MD, received her medical degree from the Universidad De El Salvador Facultad De Medicina and completed a residency in family medicine at VCU - Bon Secours Family Medicine Program. Dr. Maltez Salvador is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She treats a variety of conditions, with special interests in hypertension, diabetes, women health, behavioral health, geriatric, preventive medicine and acute conditions.  

Dr. Maltez Salvador is passionate about family medicine, as it allows her to work with patients of all ages and treat both chronic and acute conditions. In addition, Dr. Maltez Salvador values the long-lasting relationships she builds with her patients and their families. What makes her approach to family care unique is her strong listening skills, which allow her to create treatment plans that best meet her patient's needs.

In her free time, Dr. Maltez Salvador enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves to dine out at new restaurants, watch football and soccer games and exercise outdoors.
