Amanda Cruz, MD

Amanda Cruz, MD, believes kindness, compassion and transparency are key to quality patient care. She strives to educate her patients about their diseases and provide them with the best available treatment options.

Dr. Cruz was born in Honduras and raised in Houston, Texas, by Spanish-speaking immigrants in a working-class home. Growing up, she recognized a need for Spanish-speaking women physicians in her community, which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Cruz went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio and completed her internal medicine residency at Los Angeles County and the University of Southern California.

Dr. Cruz chose to specialize in primary care because it allows her to help others. She currently lives in San Antonio, where she enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.
