Biography

Luz Torres, NP, believes patients can improve their chronic conditions by working with health care providers who instill trust in them. She chose family practice as her specialty because it allows her to care for patients at any stage of their lives.

NP Torres was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She became a nurse practitioner to help patients manage chronic conditions and avoid complications that can lead to hospitalization. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at El Paso and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol and thyroid diseases are NP Torres’ top clinical interests. Working with amazing people and having the opportunity to make a difference in their lives is her favorite aspect of being a nurse practitioner. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, traveling and playing with her dogs.
