Mabel Martinez, NP

Mabel Martinez, NP, believes that transparency, honesty and respect are key to getting to know her patients well and delivering the highest quality of care. Primary care is her specialty, which allows her to serve a diverse group of people.

Mrs. Martinez was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Canutillo. At nine years old, she knew she was destined to become an NP and began volunteering at a local hospital at the age of 15. She continued volunteer work as a nurse until she earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at El Paso. Arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and obesity are some of her many clinical interests.

Greeting patients with a smile and listening to their life stories is Mrs. Martinez’s favorite aspect of being an NP. In her many years of working as a nurse, Mrs. Martinez has come to recognize the importance of sitting with patients face-to-face, as it opens the door to meaningful conversation and invaluable teaching opportunities. Outside of the clinic, Mrs. Martinez enjoys reading, cooking, serving on medical mission trips and spending quality time with her husband and two Boston Terriers.
