He was talking unusually loud for the room we were in. I was being lectured on health issues I already knew what the cause was, lecture was unusually long and over explained. I could hardly get a word in because he was talking too much. He asked if I wanted him to prescribe Voltaren and I said yes but never got a prescription. Not really sure if you train docs this way or if his emotional IQ is low, but it was very frustrating experience.

He did not sit down during the visit, nor did he have my chart in front of him. I specifically mentioned to the nurse about pain in my left shoulder and my concern about stress incontinence. He said nothing about those. He never looked at my meds.

He was not knowledgeable about my test results, in fact he did not even look at the xray or report that I had on my phone. He was not concerned with my large hiatal hernia, even though I was experiencing shortness of breath. Also apparently not concerned that the xray should interstitial lung disease. Subsequently, my cardiologist was quite concerned and sent me for a CT scan to determine if the xray was accurate or overexposed.

Always make himself available when you need an urgent appointment and if he cannot see you due to other commitments, his assistant personnel immediately contact you. He is very professional and his 'why' is evident. Upon first meeting him he shared his passion for family and how that has motivated him to move back to San Antonio and continue to pursue this passion. He also shared his commitment to being here for a long time. There's a sense of a greater structure in this location which has created more of a security and a noticeable unity amongst staff. I feel more confident to know that when I go in for annual checks that I will have the same PCP.
