We moved here in 2013 to help our oldest son with his 2 young daughters. Leaving behind many friends in [omitted] and coming here, I knew no one. When my husband passed in [omitted], I lost the love of my life of [omitted] long lived years. Due to CIVID and kidney failure he just didn’t have the strength to carry on. He had been in and out of different nursing facilities and his last one being Brookdale on Fielder. They were very kind and caring, but I was asked one day if I had ever thought of giving him an injection and I don’t remember the name, but little did I know that it would allow him to slip away from me in peace. On the morning I arrived, our two older sons were at his bed side wher my youngest son brought me to Brookdale to see him. Little did I know he had already slipped into a deep sleep. My heart was broken. However, I live each day knowing the love that we shared would last me until we meet again one day in the future. I now live with my youngest son and his wife and my 3 youngest granddaughter’s. They turned their 2 car garage into a beautiful suite for me where I have my own room and TV. However, it’s getting to be hard looking at my 4 walls and little to no interaction with the rest of the family. I’m not one to just go out looking for people, but I’m thinking that’s what I’m going to have to do. I love doing crafts, but love doing them with someone. Hence the need to go to the senior center for Hurst/Ft Worth areas. I’m going to make it and thanks to Dr Ledesma and a new prescription , I feeling better about myself and getting out.
