Biography

George Markus, MD, is a medical doctor. Born in Honduras and raised in Austin, Texas, Dr. Markus received his medical degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Throughout his childhood, Dr. Markus dreamed of becoming a medical doctor like his uncle. He recognizes the value of developing interpersonal relationships with his patients, which is also his favorite aspect of practicing medicine. He believes in being as straightforward as possible with patients regarding their health and approaching them on their level to achieve the best possible health outcome.

Dr. Markus’ clinical specialties include asthma, COPD, diabetes, geriatrics, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and thyroid disorders. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, whom he strongly praises for being absolutely wonderful. In his spare time, Dr. Markus enjoys cycling, skiing and playing with his grandchildren.
