Unlike the rest of the medical world, Katherine Lake is old schoole. When she comes into the exam roum, she always greets me with a smile and then she usually ask me how i'm doing and if I have any questions. If our appointment is about test results, she systematically. reviews everything with me. She never seems pressed for time and that is comforting to me. She is a very good listener and always tries to answer any question I have. i guess I could request the Doctor instead of her, but quite honestly I'm completely satisfied with seeing her every time.

She goes out of her way to explain everything in lab reports while making you feel so comfortable. She also provides medical care that she doesn't have to. She never rushes you. I lost my mother about a year ago. She offered to talk with me any time I needed. That really stuck with me and it made a big difference in my ability to move on. Just knowing she was there made a big difference in my recovery. I have a psychiatrist also. Kathryn helped me more than her. Very special lady and Optum is fortunate to have her.
