I really need to talk to the Dr... because like I said I feel like I'm not getting a good understanding of what's really going on... I'm confused and don't fully understand what's going on with my health everything seems to b quick and not fully explained...I have asked to see a nutritionist on 2 occasions and it hasn't happened...I am newly diagnosed diabetic and very confused...I don't like that

This was not a regular appt as I had a problem that could not wait for a regular appt. Candice was very pleasant, smiling and made me feel comfortable. She listened carefully to my problem, confirmed all my meds before prescribing any others. She verified that it did not contraindicate the use with my other meds. She asked a lot of questions to better understand what I was going through.

Candice seems to be a reflection of the current educational system making it hard for her to logically relate to patients. It gives the patient the impression that she is either not listening to the patient or that she is not able to understand and relate to the patient. It can cause a lack of faith in her ability to diagnose and evaluate medical issues with a patient.

She didn’t follow through on anything that she said she would, and I’m getting in trouble with the Med techs at my assisted-living facility. I’ve even called the office at least twice, but my call wasn’t returned, and my prescriptions still have not been called into my pharmacy.🥵

Candice was incredible! She made time for me and really made sure to find a way to get me the medical care that I needed. She communicated this process and included recommendations for budget friendly labs in the area to get the testing I needed. Honestly, I couldn't ask for more from a healthcare provider. She really listened to my needs and treated me like a person. I am really grateful to have her as my new provider.

To me, she didn't appear to be focusing on me and my needs for my improved health. She ignored my statement that my labs had most recently been drawn in [omitted]. Also, Diana Chavez had reviewed them with me before her exit from WellMed in [omitted]. We didn't connect on several occasions during this visit. Another strange encounter was when I told her I preferred when labs were drawn if a call to coordinate any additional labs needed by my Rheumatologist (Dr. Katheryn Hester) to prevent me from having different labs draw additional blood and if they could be coordinated through WellMed. Candice asked me if I needed a new Rheumatologist.referral.(?) I said No. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to be a better Advocate for myself. (I've never been told this before) I'm not reserved but try to be cordial.

She forgot to call in my meds, she forgot to call in my blood work, she was in a hurry to get out of the room last time I was there, did not come back in, she's always running behind and I feel like it's a race against time to fully discuss my health. She was better but something has changed...not sure what. She's a fine doctor, but in this new facility, something is different.
