Many times older patient issue may be disregarded but he is always respectful and listens without rushing. or dismissing a patient's concerns.

I was a bit medically complex when I had to move to Dr. Fougere as my new PCP. He treated me very kindly, professionally and did not rush me but made me feel welcome and cared for. It is too much to explain yet he was amazing to treat me as he would wanted someone to treat him in my condition. The more I get to know him medically, the more I like him. Thank you so much.

He was very arrogant toward me and refused to listen to my description of my wound. He insisted that it is something it's not. Two days later, I went to the ER, and his finding was a misdiagnosis. Not good. I have an infection. His diagnosis was a ganglion cyst. Very completely different problem.

Whilst Dr Fougere appears to be well qualified , we (my wife and I ) find his attitude very condescending and patronizing . He talks down to us , probably because we are old. He is also very brusque and seems keen to want to get us out of the exam room as quickly as possible.

Doctor Fougere patiently listens to my issues and remembers what I said in past appointments (he spends time to read the patient record before entering the examination room). We do not see much my of this commitment to profession these days. He uses his eyes to aid diagnosis. Once, he noted a yellow coloration in my eyes and sent me immediately to the ER, saving me from a serious virus. On this last visit, he noted my systolic pressure was high. He had it taken again and it did lower, but it turned out that it was the start of a chest infection which, for an Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency patient, can be very serious. I was able to get it treated in a timely manner. He is an outstanding physician.

He seems to care. It is unfortunate that he only works for an entity that doesn't seem to embrace the same philosophy. I feel abandoned and treated like a floor mat by Wellmed. Dr Fougere and his team at least displayed a human emotion of sympathy for its long term patients. Although there is nothing he could do except empathize
