She seems to know her stuff, willing to refer me elsewhere if necessary. Doctoring has changed so radically recently because of insurance. Not sure insurance is a good thing. Her care is limited by Medicare rules and not necessarilly by what I need. The length of my visit is determined by what Medicare allows her to do and at times I feel hurried and neglected. I was recently hospitalized with a pain she dismissed as bowel gas. I have a serious kidney related problem that requires an oncologist and urologist ongoing. But, she did the followup procedures well and is interested in where we go from here.

Dr. Kitowicz has been my PCP for a little over a year. In a short time she established TRUST through her listening skills, compassion and following up on action items. She takes time to explain why she chooses such-and-such course of treatment, what to expect and when to come back for continued care. I have been to the previous practice with Dr. Hinshaw for years and years and also saw Dr. Kitowicz sometimes, so I AM VERY familiar with her. She takes her time with me, examines me if needs to and/or goes over meds and we go from there. I tell her about any problems I've had, like this time, I had had headaches on left side of face and head. She looked in my ears and lo and behold, my ear was impacted with wax! So the asst tried to get the wax out but it was really HARD! So, I left to keep adding drops in the ear and had a nephew do the washing out and he got most of the wax out.
