Denise Elizondo, MD

Denise Elizondo, MD, takes a holistic approach to medical care. She uses a combination of medication, wellness and lifestyle medications to help manage patient conditions.

Dr. Elizondo chose to pursue medicine to collaborate with patients and improve their health and wellness. She especially enjoys interacting with patients and taking the time to explain medical concerns in detail. She attended medical school overseas at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, followed by a medical residency completed at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. As a family physician, Dr. Elizondo helps treat various acute and chronic conditions.

Dr. Elizondo is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. A native of the Rio Grande Valley, she was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, but now resides in South Padre Island, Texas, with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys strolling the beach and playing soccer with her children.
