Biography

Erik Sanchez, MD, includes his patients in the decision-making process, which he feels is essential to improving their health and preventing future issues. He believes transparency and trust make for the best physician-patient health team.

Dr. Sanchez is a native Texan who was born and raised in McAllen. He understands that the field of medicine is largely driven by innovation and is constantly evolving, improving and impacting the community. The challenge of trying to master even a portion of medicine inspired him to become a doctor. He chose family medicine as his specialty to identify issues early on and to become an advocate of preventive care.

Dr. Sanchez has many clinical interests, including diabetes, obesity and geriatrics. His favorite aspect of being a medical doctor is spending time with patients and listening to their stories, concerns and advice. In his spare time, Dr. Sanchez enjoys watching and playing soccer and football and spending quality time with his family.
