Jennifer Duewall, MD

Practicing internal medicine gives me the chance to partner with my patients and focus on preventative medicine and appropriately address acute care issues in order to optimize overall health. My goal is provide quality, compassionate, patient-centered care to the patient population that I serve.
I went to Texas A&M University for my undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. I obtained my medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. I went on to do my residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.
When I completed residency, I joined the staff at Baylor Dallas and began providing inpatient care there as a hospitalist. I also served as the associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, teaching and training residents and medical students.
While I enjoyed providing inpatient care, I realized I was missing out on forming long-term relationships with my patients, which is something I very much desire for my practice. I am excited to now join USMD and begin my practice in the West Plano clinic. I grew up in Plano and have returned to live here with my family. I look forward to serving my hometown community. In addition to practicing medicine, I serve as assistant professor of Internal Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two young children and a 5-year-old yellow lab, Runyon. We are all big Aggies-Whoop! Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to new places around the world and within the United States. My favorite place we have traveled to thus far is Cortona, Italy. I also enjoy reading, yoga, dancing, and most importantly, spending time with my family and friends.
