Biography

Chelsy Cavazos, NP, is a primary care clinician. She trained at Simmons University and is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her patient care philosophy is to treat every patient like they are family.

NP Cavazos decided to pursue a career in medicine to help the people in her community who were suffering from chronic conditions. She enjoys educating her patients about preventive medicine to help improve their quality of life. Her favorite part of being a family medicine practitioner is educating her patients about lifestyle changes that can improve their health.

NP Cavazos is a Texas native. She was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, and still lives there. She is married with one daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and exercising. Clinically, NP Cavazos is particularly interested in preventive care, as well as managing diabetes and obesity.
