Dr. Khan is generally polite, but his bedside manner does not align with my expectations or needs. He has been my doctor over the last year+, since the sudden and devastating loss of my spouse at a young age, and each time I see him I somehow end up feeling like sh*t, like I am broken or somehow a failure. I have never had this experience with another doctor, male or female. He just keeps telling me that I need to "go to the gym" and I will "feel better." He speaks to me with a tone that suggests I am stupid (and I'm not -- I have a doctorate), yet he does a terrible job of explaining anything. I have ended each appointment clearly being upset, yet he does not notice, nor does he adjust his approach. What's more, I don't think I have ever spent more than 5-8 minutes with him during an appointment, with little to no discussion to try and learn more from me about what might be causing issues, whether physical or emotional. Perhaps the clinic overbooks their doctors, but I don't like feeling like I'm being given the bum's rush. I had a bad first experience but stuck it out for over a year, hoping things would get better, but they haven't. I will be finding a new doctor.

He really shows concern for my condition. I no my body, he doesn't know it like i do; so he needs to listen and we go from there to figure out what's going on and i like that. Thats why I stayed with Welmed, because that's what I had with my previous Dr, and she left. Barbara Haskins was heading OUT as well.

Dr Khan is unfailingly courteous and kind to me on every visit I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and sincere in his desire to help with health issues. He is well-acquainted with how my particular Medicare HMO works and how to accommodate the requirements for referrals etc. I hope always to have Dr Khan as my PCP.

He walked into my room with gloves on- started talking to me then took them off. He went over my medications and said he would refill the rx 1 time but he would never refill it again because he doesn’t practice that way. He went on to say that my dr. Should have taken me off the medication along time ago. Then asked me why are you taking estradiol (menopause) and said it causes cancer and you are at high risk since it runs in your family. He was not interested in me and rushed through my appointment. I got in my car so upset after leaving there.
