First of all, I have a hard time understanding Dr Massip-Perez. I do not speak a 2nd language. He's very nice, maybe it's just me. I first saw him in [omitted] after my previous provider, Dr Paul was no longer at the practice which I was not notified she had left!!!! I had a video appointment with another Dr but in order to receive my thyroid medication, I had to have a physical. When my physical appointment got canceled because the doctor had some other commitment, I couldn't reschedule with her and in order to see a doctor before I left for vacation amd I needed medication, I was asked if I would see Dr Perez and I said that was fine. My first visit went well. I was to be seen again in 6 months so [omitted] I went to my appointment. I thought I was to have blood work done to check levels of my prescriptions so I fasted. The nurse when she took my BP asked if I had fasted and I said yes. At the end of my appointment I asked Dr Perez if I was doing my blood work and he said, "I don't think so." He went and checked and came back into the room and he said, "no, you don't need bloodwork done!" It was on my summary from last July to fast. I guess I should have been relieved. Maybe I shouldn't follow the summary sheet. Minor things but......

The doctor took the time to exmine and explain. He was aware of me before coming into the nroom and ask appropriate questions. Only need to be more aware of which medicines are covered by insurance as even with insurance the unsulins were not covered.

He was the best thing WellMed has. he totally explained my situation. He told me about my body and how the drug would affect it. He went into total detail with me and he was absolutely excellent and I was totally reassured that he knew what he was talking about. Your nurse practitioners all they do is hand out medicine and they hand out the wrong kind.

He gave me plenty of time and information, offered me options on my care (with explanations) when appropriate. He seems to adapt well to a patient's style by not rushing, by listening well. I believe he really cares about the well being of his patients. When I couldn't get through in the portal, he called to handle my need. (He was not the doctor that canceled my physical.)
