Biography

Francisco Daniel Medrano, MD, was born in Mexico City and grew up in Houston. He attended the Temple University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care.

Dr. Medrano chose a medical career because of his desire to help others and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Latinos in medicine. He specializes in internal medicine because he enjoys the broad scope of practice it provides. His goal in working with patients is to develop a partnership that helps the patient achieve good health and a long life.

In addition, Dr. Medrano is passionate about hospice and palliative care. He strongly believes that end-of-life care should be comfortable and dignified.

When he’s not working, Dr. Medrano enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially his wife and son. He also likes cars and spending time at the range.
