Biography

Simon Kabututwa, MD, takes a “listen more, talk less” approach when working with patients. He strives to treat each patient with respect and dignity while empowering and educating them to improve their health.

Dr. Kabututwa graduated from Makerere University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Growing up poor in Uganda, East Africa, he saw lots of suffering and sickness, inspiring him to pursue medicine to help heal patients with compassion. Family medicine appeals to him because it allows him to see patients of all ages and treat entire families.

Dr. Kabututwa is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. His favorite part of his role is the one-on-one interactions he has with his patients. He currently resides in Denton County, Texas, and enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, playing chess, cooking, running, gardening and watching documentaries.
