Biography

Sheeja Tharappel, NP, is a nurse practitioner who practices family medicine. She completed her nurse practitioner training at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Mrs. Tharappel became an advanced practice clinician to make significant changes in peoples’ lives by helping them take control of their health. She finds it very rewarding to empower her patients to understand their conditions and support them on their way to better health. She enjoys family medicine because she treats patients at all life stages.

For Mrs. Tharappel, the best part of her job is reviewing results with her patients. She loves sharing in her patients’ joy of achieving a health goal, such as hitting a target A1c measurement or a goal blood pressure reading. Mrs. Tharappel understands the importance of truly listening to what her patients have to say, and she believes communication is key to better patient outcomes.

Mrs. Tharappel was born and raised in India and lives in Sugar Land, Texas. She enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, mother-in-law, Goldendoodle and two rabbits.
