Biography

Makenzie Hilgenberg, PA, is a physician assistant. She trained at Florida Gulf Coast University and is board-certified by NCCPA. Her approach to care focuses on fostering good relationships with patients to set the foundation for good medical care.

PA Hilgenberg believes in establishing trust between herself and her patients so she can better understand their conditions and serve as a resource in their lives. She chose to work in primary care because it is very broad and enables her to remain sharp in various areas. Her favorite part of her work is forming relationships with patients as she manages their medical conditions.

PA Hilgenberg was born in the Quad Cities, IL, and raised in Land O’ Lakes, FL. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, boating, going for walks, camping and traveling to see family. Clinically, she is particularly interested in helping patients manage arthritis, COPD, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, musculoskeletal conditions and thyroid disease, among others. She also emphasizes the importance of preventive care.
