I like Dr. Bordelon. This was my second visit with him. It was my yearly medicare visit. The only thing that concerned me is that I was not examined. We spent the visit talking about things, but no physical exam.

Good in person, but the lab results showed high cholesterol and he defaulted to prescribing Statins. I did my own research and confirmed that my diet was the root cause then switched to low cholesterol foods, losing weight, and following up on possible sleep apnea. Most of these were discussed during the appointment and make up the bulk of root causes of high cholesterol. Please treat the cause not just the symptoms. Medication is best when truly needed.

The first visit with him I had no issue with the refill for my weight loss drug. However, the second time the wrong forms were filled out. I specified that I had been approved for the program and only needed the refill. Should have been clear since we did that the first time. The assistant pushed for my financial information but as I stated I had already been approved and only needed the refill. Needless to say I still do not have my prescription.

I didn't get the sense that Dr. Bordelon listens to his patient. He was more interested in putting me in a category of what I needed because of my age instead of listening. He thought I needed a referral for a bone density test, even though I've not had any issues or indications of problems. And he sent in a referral for that test. I asked for a referral for an OB/Gyn because I am having issue of vaginal discharge. Since I am menopausal, I know this needs to be addressed. It has been a week since my office visit and I still haven't received the referral
