Biography

Helping people is all I've ever wanted to do and, as a nurse, I'm able to do it daily. I'm thankful to have family who has supported my career. My grandmother went out of her way to encourage me to continue my education before I started having kids and settled down. Every day I'm grateful for her because I love being an advanced practice nurse and I don't know if I would have been able to do it without her encouragement.
I attended the University of Central Arkansas for both my undergrad and master's program. I chose to specialize in family medicine because it allows me to help a wide range of people. It allows me to serve as the clinician for entire families and really get to know my patients.
My goal with my practice is to help guide patients on their journey toward total health. Ultimately, patients are the only ones who can change their behaviors, I can only give them the knowledge they need to make decisions with their health in mind and work with them to come up with a care plan. It's so rewarding to see results in my patients, to watch them realize they had it in them the whole time all they needed was a little guidance.
I was born in Fullerton, California, and moved to a small town in Arkansas when I was in high school. I stayed to attend college, where I met my husband. Now, we live in Highland Village with our son. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies with my family, reading a good book and cooking great meals.
