Biography

I was born in Panama and grew up in the States since my Dad was military. I received my PA training in the military while I was on active duty. I initially was a lab tech and it was time to re-up and had to choose to remain in my current field or possibly find another or get out. My supervisor at the time asked 'Why don't you go to PA school?' to which I replied 'What's a PA?' Little did I know that a conversation with the education counselor would change my life. I graduated from PA school in May of 1994 and shipped out to my first assignment as a PA in Korea.
As a Physician Assistant, I have learned so much about people and life. My goal is to educate and encourage prevention to the people I come in contact with. I want people to feel that there is no question too insignificant or silly to ask and to be comfortable enough to ask it. Many times we will see people on a bad day and we should be compassionate and comforting. Ultimately, I try to treat them the way I would like my family member to treated when they go to a provider.
In my free time I enjoy reading, shooting pool and spending time with family and friends. I love traveling with my husband when we get a chance. Some of my favorite things include puppies, plants and flowers.
