Biography

I dedicated six years of my life as a nurse in women's health, knowing the ins and outs of labor and delivery. While I loved that part of my career, I chose to pursue a master's degree in nursing so I could learn more about the human body. Initially, I did this so I could better care for my family as they aged but the closer I got to graduation the more I realized I have a deep desire to help people through primary care. I wanted to reach more people, to make a bigger impact than I could before.
By specializing in family medicine I'm able to achieve just that. I understand how overwhelming health care can be for patients, so I do my best to create a safe environment for them. One where they can establish consistent care with a provider and feel like a part of the team. I accomplish this by establishing a rapport where patients feel free to speak their mind and ask questions. I love seeing patients come full circle, watching a patient with an illness come in, making a plan together, adjusting as needed and seeing them get better and reach their health goals. That's why I do what I do.
My approach to patient care is through compassion and empathy. I do my best to understand what my patients are feeling. I want them to know they matter, that their needs are valid and remind them that my job is help them find a care plan that's best for both them and their family. My goal is to develop long lasting patient relationships so I can grow with patients throughout their lifetime.
I live in Mansfield with my husband and our four children, two boys and twin girls. I love spending time with them and attending all of their after school activities such as football, soccer and cheerleading. That's just to name a few! We also love to travel whether it's for a simple hike or a Disney cruise. When I have a moment to myself I enjoy doing yoga and attending dance class.
