Kierra Smith, NP

Kierra is board certified in Family Medicine from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Nursing degree at Texas Tech University and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner license from Texas Woman's University. She creates a safe and home-like environment that allows you to address your health concerns in a relaxed space. Kierra likes to engage with you on a personal level so that you can reach tailored and realistic goals. When she creates your care plan, she will take into account your unique values, lifestyle, home support, environmental stressors, life events, and finances. Overall, Kierra's experience gives her the proficiency to ensure that you will be well cared for. At all times, Kierra firmly believes in keeping her patients informed by having open and thorough communication. She will discuss present, future, and optional plans for you to achieve your best health. Before leaving from an appointment with her, you can expect to have had a clear explanation on the results and meanings of your health screenings (labs, imaging etc.), full understanding on treatment options, and most importantly, a sense of comfort and ease knowing that you were fully heard. 'Listening can sometimes be the only thing needed to help someone move on to the next day,' Kierra says. When you leave her office, her advocacy for your health does not stop. When Kierra is not seeing patients, she enjoys fishing, traveling, walking on nature trails, decorating, trying out the newest restaurants in town, sleeping, and listening to podcasts to stay up to date on medical practices.
