Biography

Ava Cutrer, FNP, practices family medicine. She obtained her nurse practitioner degree from the University of Texas Arlington. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Ms. Cutrer has been interested in pursuing a medical career since childhood. In fact, a clinic encounter with a nurse practitioner in college sparked her interest. Ms. Cutrer decided on family practice because it's constantly evolving, and she enjoys staying current with the latest evidence-based practices.

Her favorite part about being a primary care provider is seeing her longtime patients and knowing they are working together to improve their quality of life. Ms. Cutrer's patient care approach is centered around her belief that patient care is collaborative. While each patient is ultimately in control of their life and health care pursuits, she is honored to help guide them, offer advice, provide treatment options and coordinate their care.

Ms. Cutrer grew up in Oklahoma and likes to stay as active as possible. She enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music and spending time with her husband and grown kids. She is particularly interested in women’s health and preventive care.
