When my wife was in a crisis situation and her primary care physician was unavailable, Dr. Vega stepped in, worked very diligently, and got her the care that she needed quickly. When I needed to choose a primary care physician, I chose Dr. Vega, and I am glad that I did.

He is new and getting to know him. I had another Doctor and she was always in a hurry. Normally, they used to listen to your heart, but she would check my chart and just say your blood work is fine, but never said what it was unless asked.

Being hard of hearing, I had difficulty understanding him because of his hard accent, even after I asked him to slow down with his speech, which he did. Understanding my primary physician is very important to me. I do not want to miss something he said because I was "hung up" on something he said previously. Since my last visit, I purchased better hearing aids,which should help a lot.

Dr. Vega is an outstanding physician. He has helped me far better than the primary care physician I had for 30 plus years. Dr. Vega will be my doctor for as long as possible for his attention to my medical needs. That being said, I have simple medical needs as a senior citizen and having Dr. Vega available is amazing. I am looking forward to the opportunity to have many years of the support of Dr. Vega. I want to add, WellMed is an outstanding group serving me. I feel very blessed to have Dr. Vega and WellMed supporting me. Nothing short of outstanding support.

This is a doctor who cares for you and you can tell. He takes my health seriously and I appreciate it. Also a big plus is he helped me understand my kidney disease and my sugar levels and diabetes. I truly like my doctor!!

He didn't like my criticism of the staff in having just my thyroid labs done rather than a full metabolic panel as needed or the fact that I was vocal in my statement that they had wasted my time as well as his by having to have labs done a second time. He had a nurse call me about my lab results to tell me that they looked OK instead of going over them with me. I was informed that I didn't need to come back for a year. I assume at this point that he doesn't really want me as a patient since both my wife and I had both been scheduled for Labs and follow up at 6 month intervals. At her appointment a week after mine she is still scheduled for 6 month follow-ups. At [omitted] years of age I feel that a one year follow up is not in the best interest of my health.

He was dismissive in my requests of support. Rushed as if my time was not of importance. Said he was concerned of my blood work from 8 months ago, yet come back in 6 months doesn’t seem concerned

I feel that he is not doing enough annual tests plus he does not check my heartbeat, does not check my throat, does not do an annual physical, does not do EKG's, does not check my vitamin D level every 6 months, does not check my TSH levels every 3 months even though I am on thyroid meds. My previous doctor N H Shannon did all these tests without me reminding him. I also have to remind him for referrals for mammogram, bone density tests, referral for Prolia injections. I am an older patient that shouldn't have to keep up with my referrals are what tests I should have done.
