Biography

Jay Hoelscher, MD, grew up in Nebraska, where he attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is board-certified in internal medicine and speaks fluent Spanish and English.

Dr. Hoelscher chose medicine because he is passionate about science and caring for others. He specializes in internal medicine because he enjoys working with patients to thoughtfully and carefully diagnose and solve their health concerns.

He likes getting to know his patients and feeling he improved their lives and health. He focuses on preventive care and managing health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, allergies and high blood pressure.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Hoelscher likes creating and building things, including landscaping projects in his yard. He also loves building projects around the house, which he shares with his wife and children.
