Biography

Susan Carpinteyro, MD, is a Texas native who practices primary care medicine. She attended medical school at St. George University School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at the Christus Spohn Hospital. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Carpinteyro pursued a medical career because she wanted to learn about disease processes. She is particularly interested in preventive care and treating diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

She loves how family medicine covers a wide spectrum and allows her to treat each patient as a whole. She also enjoys educating her patients about how to prevent disease and manage their current conditions so they can live long and healthy lives.

Dr. Carpinteyro’s favorite part about practicing medicine is taking care of her patients. She believes in working together in partnership with them to help them reach their health goals.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Carpinteyro enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
