Biography

As a nurse, every day I have the opportunity to help someone, to make a difference in someone's live, to care for someone somebody loves. As nurse practitioner, I'm fortunate to have a more direct role in their care, giving me even more opportunity to help my patients are able to reach their health goals.
Before joining USMD, I worked in labor and delivery at a local hospital. I helped develop patient care plans including assessment, evaluation, and nursing diagnoses for mothers and newborns. After graduating from Texas Women's University with a masters in nursing, I knew I wanted to expand my reach and provide comprehensive care for all age groups. By specializing in family medicine I'm able to help patients through all phases of life.
My favorite part of going to work is educating patients so they have autonomy over their health and can ask for what they need. I also allow room for open communication so my patients feel comfortable confiding in me. It's important to me that patients always feel calm and comfortable. I know going to the doctor's office can be nerve wrecking and I want to be a source of peace.
I grew up in Highland Village and now I live in Argyle with my husband and our dog, Moose. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, taking Moose for walks, spending time with family and friends and trying out new recipes.
