There was no communicatuon with questions about my bloodwork. Appointment was [omitted]. Dr. Edoka also needed to contact my insurance co. about a glucose patch to read results because of my severe treemors. I cannot use the strips. Checked several time with Dr. Edoka office still no anwsers. No answer about my Thyroid Med to which strenght to take. That is not acceptable, I am [omitted] and need a friend to help me with communication with doctor and office.

She's an okay doctor, she's not mean or anything but by me being retired from the medical field, there's a few things that I would expect from her, that I'm used to getting from doctors in the past. Because there's not too many great doctors like it used to be because of so many shortcuts of examinations and questions that I'm used to doctors asking me that are not being asked to me and I have to suggest some things like a urinalysis or other things, but it's okay long as she listens and gives me an answer and try to help solve the situation.

She is not very personable and has a little stand-off manner. I have found it very hard to get an appointment with her. She is out of the office a lot. At my yearly physical, she came in and sat down and never touched me. Did not check my ears, throat, or anywhere else. Two weeks later another doctor discovered a mass on my thyroid. I have had breast cancer and my previous primary care doctor always did a breast exam. I have had many visits within the last six months and most of them were with her P A. Stefan who I liked and he was very concerned and helpful with my care. The last time I called I had an ear infection and was told by Dr. Edoka's nurse Mary to just go to a stand-alone dr. in an er center. After calling three times that day I finally got into Stefan at the office and he saw me and prescribed the medicine I needed. We have been very well cared for by Dr. Mewis in your office but she has moved to Weatherford so we changed to Dr Edoka to be closer to home. We have always had good service with Dr. Mewis but feel like the Hulen office is lacking in leadership and patient service.
