Although she explained meds she was Rx, she was too quick and abrupt for me. We did not discuss potential side effects and risks of med for someone my age. Also did not address potential issues meds would have on a pre-existing medical condition. Since this was the first time seeing me, she should have maybe taken a bit more time addressing the big picture of my health as to how it related to my existing illness. On the plus side, the meds she Rxd were helpful in my recovery...but given she did not know me, was not familiar with my sensitivity to meds....I did not receive any upfront discussions. Just, call if you have problems or questions. I felt she was rushed and did not give any time for discussion. Thank goodness her dx, which was mine also, was accurate and treatment for symptoms was accurate. Maybe a little more time for listening if I had concerns might have made me more comfortable.

I went to see Dr. Maninga right before Christmas. I was quite sick. They did some tests and I was very satisfied, I did not have COVID or flu but I had that other bug going around, and she was able to order medicine for me. She was very thorough, I like her. A lot I'm so glad I have her for a doctor now.

Very professional during all aspects of the office visit. Dr. Maningo goes through each of my prescriptions individually as well as all other supplements. Dr. Maningo inquires about all facets of my wellness program and maintains contact with my other specialist physicians. She inquires about my understanding of the treatment plan(s) and provides clarity, if needed, so we are on the same page of treatment.

She asks me something and enters it into the record... it all seems so cold and methodical without any compassion. I am not a big fan of her or the other Dr. I had initially while on the Optimum plan. Thus this year I have searched for plans that will allow me to return to my previous PC physician I had 2 years ago.

Dr. Maningo, who was seeing me for the first time after years of my being seen by a PA, took a very aggressive and somewhat combative attitude with me from the outset. She looked at my lab results from last winter and began our conversation with, “ Has anyone told you you’re diabetic?” No, none of your staff had ever told me that, although I knew I had a high blood glucose score that had not yet reached diabetes. She said I had to reduce my intake of carbohydrates, and I told her I was conscious of the need to do so, and had been doing so. She asked me what I ate for breakfast and I said different things, including high fiber no sugar added cereal or whole wheat toast, eggs, yogurt, fruit. She raised her voice and said breakfast cereal was for little children and I should never eat it. She asked when my main meal was and I said usually the evening meal. She said to stop that and eat, “ breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper.” I asked her what she eats for breakfast and she said a protein smoothie (or shake, don’t exactly remember). So then I was puzzled about eating breakfast like a king. Over the time I’ve been your patient, I have been told to eat more fiber, low fat, low salt, low carbs, and no alcohol. At this point I’m left with lean meat, fish, and some vegetables, and she specifically mentioned, “berries are fine.” Meanwhile telling me never to eat mangoes, bananas, pineapple, and oranges. She asked me what I was going to do about blood sugar. I said I’ve heard that losing weight helps. She asked me how I was going to lose weight. I said I’m very sedentary although I do walk every day, but otherwise only get the exercise one gets in the course of household chores, shopping, etc. I didn’t know what else to say at that point and the conversation ground to a halt. I do not want to see this doctor again and will be requesting to switch.

She was thorough in her examination. she asked numerous questions concerning my health and medical history. She was truly concerned with my health. She personally called me the next day with my blood results and explained what they meant and what I could do to improve future tests. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and confident in her suggestions. This was my first appointment with her, and I could not have been more pleased.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Evelyn Mandingo. She was new to me, only because my prior Doctor left the office. But she was very informed about me and went over everything with me. She's very through and I'm happy to have her as my Primary physician.

She was friendly down to earth but professional. Cared if I understood instructions,etc. she was the most thorough doctor I had seen in a long time. Do not release her. I was at Optum Valrico for a long time and it was too much with the changing of doctors. Every couple of months a different doctor. Dr J Taylor is outstanding as well.

Not professional. Needs more education with organ transplant patients. Was going to prescribe plaxovid which could kill. Prescribed cough med with codine and didn’t look up I am allergic to. I itched for days. I told her when I was in the exam room I am going to call the specialty pharmacist at transplant Hospital to see what meds I can take while on speaker phone. Took her isolation protection of in the exam room before exiting!

Evelyn is not the issue. The way the practice is run is. I called 3 x to request a lab order. I drove to the office. Sign on door stated office would open until 2. My appointment was with Stefanie. I got to the office and received Evelyn. She informed me you no longer accept my insurance. I wasn’t give any notice. I spoke with your office 3x.why was I not notified an any of these calls. I have medication that i must take. I was forced to be examed by a dr I’ve never meet in order to clear your liability for you legally. The good drs you hire keep leaving. This office is run like a free clinic in New York. Very poor management. Very poor patient care.

Dr Maningo is very hyper. She doesn't listen and out talks you. She is a concern Dr. but her bedside manners gives me more anxiety then I had before my visit. I feel like I was beat up and talked to like a child this last visit [omitted] when I was feeling my worse. I do plan to change dr. and may change health care. My first visit with this Dr. came on very strong the whole visit about my problems with high blood pressure instead of an introduction of herself for the first time. She talks about God alot but her actions are not Christlike. Because I deal with anxiety I've told my experience with this Dr.Maningo and I don't care to talk about her again. Someone needs to listen in on her visits with her patients.
