Biography

Cara Hartquist, DO, embraces the daily challenges of family medicine. She enjoys helping patients solve problems and get to the root of complex health concerns. Dr. Hartquist is proud to be a trusted guide for patients and their families as they tackle new challenges.

Dr. Hartquist believes that medicine is a partnership, not a dictatorship. She has enjoyed the opportunity to work with families for many years, building close bonds of trust and mutual respect. In her practice, Dr. Hartquist works alongside her patients, providing compassionate support and expert advice. During each office visit, she empowers her patients to take charge of their health and make decisions they can be proud of.

Dr. Hartquist was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but raised in Johnson City, Tennessee. She graduated from Kansas City University in Missouri and completed her residency at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. Today, Dr. Hartquist lives in Texas with her husband and two children. When she isn't assisting patients, she enjoys hiking, biking, reading, and crocheting.
