Maria Garcia, MD, understands a strong patient-doctor relationship is key to delivering quality health care. Connecting with patients and getting to know them on a personal level helps Dr. Garcia better address their health concerns.

Dr. Garcia was born in Modesto, California and raised in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in Mexico. She earned her medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma De Nuevo Leon and completed the McAllen Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She is currently board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Garcia’s favorite part of being a doctor is watching her patients' health improve as they navigate their treatment plans. Diabetes, heart disease, obesity and thyroid disorders are some of her many clinical interests. Dr. Garcia currently lives in Mission, Texas, where she enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with her husband and three beautiful daughters.
