He has always provided me with excellent and compassionate care. When I got a very serious case of COVID at the beginning of the pandemic, he and his staff immediately got on the phone and found a hospital that could get me in immediately for an infusion. I don’t think I would have survived without him. With my asthma and other health issues, I could barely breathe from the moment I got sick. He had me get some supplies and equipment at home to monitor my daily progress; and he called to check on me each day to give him updates and readings until I was well. I cannot say enough to tell you how his confidence pulled me through, that incident, as well as other health problems I’ve faced through the years. I literally trust him with my life.

Dr. Rakesh Patel is THE REASON I come to this facility. He is knowledgeable and SHARES his knowledge with you in manner that is very effective. He is open to listening to my concerns and how to address them. He cares and his attention to what is important to both of us is very apparent. I have significant fear issues with health care professionals ie "white coat syndrome". He is aware of this and acknowledges the fact . That alone, makes it easier to talk to him and his staff. I especially enjoy that he is talks on a variety of topics -- making it easier to address some issues that are harder for me to approach. He looks are the "options" WITH me -- not just telling me. By knowing more, I take more ease in deciding the approach to my concerns. Health decisions -- what is important, what do they imply, WHAT is NEXT step -- are so important to how we enjoy life. I appreciate that he points me into doing testing , and why, when I am a bit reluctant to do. I feel more comfortable when he give me alternatives, or lets me consider doing some things "later." This make me feel like we both are involved in the decision making. Dr. Rakesh Patel has a very comforting approach to sometimes scary topics. I appreciate that he spends time to answer my questions patiently and thoroughly. The more information I get, helps me as I maneuver through my health decisions. These change depending on my situations and I appreciate him seeing multiple points of view. He is patient and kind.

When leaving my appointments I have always felt like there is a resolution or the being of getting to the problem. Dr Patel is a very good doctor and I appreciate his care for me as a patient, he referred me to my oncologist and the oncologist found out I had prostate cancer. So if it hadn’t been for the care about his patients my cancer could have been worse but it was caught at an early stage, it is aggressive cancer but everything is going well so far. So I’m proud to say Dr Rakesh Patel is my doctor.
