Dr. Ryan listens. Questions about what you're saying to him prove it. He makes sure to have the facts. He explains facts and informs very clearly & very well that he's able to make you understand. On top of this he is concise and very to the point. You can see that he really knows what he's doing. And he cares too. Test he's practical. No nonsense. But kind.

I’m having trouble breathing. I am AFib. I felt my breathing problem was not heart related wanted to se a pulmonary doctor. Instead I got a water pill prescribed instead. He thought I might have liquid in my lungs. Maybe a chest X-ray would have shown if there was liquid to confirm liquid and if not give me a referral.

Dr. Smith sees me every six months. I do blood test for cholesterol and he reads my results. I have cholesterol and high blood pressure. I feel like he is my coordinator. If I need something else, he would send me on to another doctor. I forgot to ask for a mammogram. So I will have to call back to get a prescription for that. Also requested a prescription for a skin condition but it was never called in. So I will have to check on that. Overall, I am pretty healthy. So don't need much from him.

This visit happened 4 weeks after I informed office of the problem with my thumb/wrist. When informed the nurse told me to take 6 ibuprofin per day and use a brace. On this visit after a normal xray the doctor said it must be a tendon and I should take 9 ibuprofin per day and use the brace and it could take four weeks. It has been four weeks now with no change in pain. I am debating what to do now.

It seems like there is only 15 minutes alloted for the time with the physician. At that point, he gets up and leaves, not asking if there's anything else on my mind.

After no experience with Dr. Ryan and seeing him on two visits I am certain he doesn't understand what it takes to be a primary care physician. I discussed problem with neck arthritis and desire to see orthopedic specialist on two separate occasions. He dismissed them both with a bit of sarcasm and only offered prescription medication "pain management". I had recently been diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis and asked for a referral for a specific specialist for a second opinion. His response was again sarcasm and gave me a referral to a different Dr. That I specifically told him I did not want to see as it was in the same practice as the diagnosing Dr. The next visit I told him why I did not want to see that Dr, and why I wanted to see the Dr. I chose and once again his response was callously sarcastic. I had blood drawn for an initial physical exam and when I came in to review with him he didn't remember that I had blood work and had to search for it to read it for the first time, totally unprepared for my visit. The simple solution is to change primary PPO's which I will do effective [omitted]. Ryan Smith should consider another profession. Being knowledgeable about human physiology and internal medicine and completing med. School does not make a Dr. One needs compassion, ability to listen to the patient and an empathy for his fellow man. In my opinion this Dr. Is void of all of these qualities.

had decided to do p.t.. before any test done for why my back was hurting. dr had not seen exray, nor wanted to do MRI. I had to talk dr into MRI. put in order for pt...still unsure what is wrong with my back. will exercise hurt it worse? they got result of MRI friday, and I still do not know result. I called mon and was told they did not have results, yet the p.t.is due out today.office called me friday and said I fractured a bone in spine. and had bulging disc and pinched nerve. what is real?
