Dr Joel Rivera Rodriguez is not my regular doctor but was filling in for Doctor Sara Cruz Luna that day. He was very nice and helpful. He listen to my concerns and gave me a solution until my doctor would return and made sure to also discuss it with her when she returned. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

Perhaps we are too comfortable with each other and he accepts what I say without checking for himself. While I appreciate his confidence in me and the test results checking me physically would make me feel much better especially when I have a specific concern or comment. After all I am there to speak to the expert which I indeed am NOT. I do appreciate his kind understanding and support over the years.

He is always friendly. Always ask how do I feel before he provides test results and or referrals recommended according to my symptoms if any. Shows real interest about my health. Always recommend to call the office before going to ER unless it's really necessary. I have referred him to friends. That's how much I trust his care and the only reason I changed insurance, just to keep him as my PCP after Optum dropped my old insurance.

Listen English is my second language I have a hard time wording things so please bear with me, I absolutely love Dr Rodriguez he's a wonderful doctor he is patient he takes time to listen to your concerns I just can't say much more than I love him and I try and recommend him to all my friends that I love and care for I wish everyone would have him as a doctor that's how much I love him. Also his staff is also wonderful they're very courteous friendly and they help you anyway they can I hope Dr Rodriguez has can you read everything this survey.

Dr. Rivera Rodriguez always explains my concerns about my health problems and why the medications I have to take is so necessary because I don't like taking pills. His answer was it's keeping me alive. Good Answer 😀 He's a good Dr. .My late husband was a Family Dr. so I can't help but compare some of my feelings of being so comfortable with another Dr treating me. I must say Dr Rivera is very kind and has compassion with his Medical experience that makes me feel better and comfortable.

Dr. Rodriguez saw me on short notice as my primary physician was running late. I appreciate his "filling in" for my primary, he didn't have to do that. We went over lab results so this was a follow up visit.

My last appointment was end of [omitted]. At that and the previous visit the doctor did not even listen to my heart with the stethoscope or by any other means - and I am [omitted] and with high blood pressure - with a hystory of palpitations and Arrhythmia and he does no check on my heart performance in more than six months! I asked him for a B12 injection for my weakness and he relented to once only - to call if need more. When i called 3 weeks later he denied my request to get another shot (via the nurse/Assistant) as "not shown as needed from my blood analysis" whic had no check for B12 deficiency at all. A second B12 injection was denied without an alternative proposed/prescribed. Also in that visit I asked to see an orthopedic specialist for my back pain and it was denied by the doctor as "not necessary". He instead prescribed Celecoxib for pain management. I left feeling uncared and hugely disappointed - since i used to have a better opinion of this Dr. but the level of care there has gone downhill. I have since been looking for a referral to a better caring PCP and I now have one assigned by my insurance.

He took the time to review my medical history and create a testing and treatment plan. It made since and addressed my medical needs and was throughly explained and understood. The problem is staff was not able to make it happen and the patient portal was never current or timely if it had info or test results at all.

I have swelling in my ankles and feet. I was tested for heart problems and they turned up to negative so there is some other problem. So after these test. Nothing was suggested to stop the swelling? No prescriptions, nothing ? I have had testosterone shots for 2 years and my doctor , for some reason wanted me to get cleared by a clinic that teats Diabetes before he renewed my prescription ? The testosterone helps me feel less depressed and gives me more energy. Without is I am always tired and have no energy or motivation to do anything. The clinic said the were not interested in seeing me for testosterone and the doctor said he would call them. He has not called them so far and I can assure you he Is not going to be honest. Again another follow up and another follow up and another follow up and nothing gets done. It is ridiculous. I am planning on charging my primary care physician today and I am not really complaining and I am not angry. I am disappointed. I just think if I change clinics that this will all be taken care of. Thanks
