Yelena Bedard is my family doctor for almost 10 years, she is supportive and takes care of me and my needs. Since I am having problems to see my results on my computer, Dr. Bedard always send me a message if I need adjustments based on my blood work results. I wish I can check my bloodwork results from my home computer, but it has been changed several times and now I even do not know what portal I am using: Wellmed Optum Healow or Optum My Health? Tried to sign in, did not see results.

The overall exam was conducted brief. And I had an ear ache due to past Covid virus. and the ear was not checked at all . When I asked the nurse as to why, she came back and said; the doctor said this was not my yearly physical exam. And she didn’t check the ear. Also never sent refills to the pharmacy. I was out of my cholesterol for 2 days. I waited and waited on Monday for 20 minutes for someone to come to the phone to assist me with refills.

I scheduled my last visit on[omitted] because I was in sever pain in my right side. I asked to be seen by my primary doctor but the front desk informed that no appointment available. So, I asked to be seen by any available doctor. Dr bedar was available and I accepted as I was really In severe pain. Everything went good, Dr bedar examined me and diagnosed I have shingle. She prescribed medication and they contacted Walgreens right away. At the same day, I followed all the Instructions for my medications but the pain was extremely hard to the point I was crying every night. I was so upset with my primary doctor ( dr Christine miloscia for not guiding me as my primary doctor to take the shingle vaccine as I care about my health and show up every year for my yearly exam and up to date with all my exams for a women in her [omitted]. Also, she has never checked on me assuming doctors talk to each other about their patients who they look after and ensure they are receiving the proper medication according to their health issues specifically Dr. Bedar is not my primary doctor!!No calls from the doctor, my primary doctor or even the doctor assistant- so inappropriate!!On [omitted], I called the front desk to ask for paper work for my employer to be filled by my primary doctor, Tamika answered after half an hour waiting and I was still in severe pain, Which I informed Tamika with my severe pain, but she simply responded that my primary doctor left and hope will be done on [omitted]- hanged up.[omitted]day, I called again with 25 minutes waiting with my severe pain, finally, Tamika, answered, I explained I am still in my pain and need my paperwork to be signed by my primary doctor. She responded that will take 48-72 hours to be done- hanged up.I called again on [omitted], with 25 min waiting with my sever pain, I was so frustrated, when Tamika answered, I told her I am so upset that my primary doctor never advised me to take the shingle vaccine, and I am still in severe pain, and my employer needs the paperwork today.I also mentioned the medication is not strong enough and doesn't ease my pain. At this point, Tamika asked why you didn't call the office to let us know, I told her I have been calling for three days for my paperwork and did mentioned my sever pain and it didn't cross to you to ask what medication you have been taken.. MADE ME So Upset and realizes how much this office doesn't care about their patients or even check on them if they still alive with the medication the doctors prescribed!!!After all three days, Tamika called me back to inform me that doctor rejected to sign my paperwork work because it's just shingle!!At this moment, I was shocked with the doctor' answer and requested to talk to the doctor but I was informed she Is busy with patients not even will call back later when finishing with her patients- so inappropriate !!Luckily, my daughter in the health field and know all rules and regulations .She informed me that she will handle that and will go herself to the office to see what is going on there.Thanks god she had the time to visit the office and was able to talk with Tamika and office manager and have them completed the paperwork and increased my medication dose since I was In severe pain and pain relief medication was prescribed to be taken on my bedtime only!!What's funny, Tamika told my daughter why your mom didn't take the medication more than that, my daughter told her because simply she followed the doctor instructions- only on bedtimes she has to take It!! When my daughter mentioned to Tamika how come the primary doctor never mentioned the shingle vaccine to my mom? Tamika responded everyone should knows about shingle vaccine! But my daughter told her we are In health field, treat all patients as If they don't know all details and have to explain It to them. I am sorry to learn all these details about your office and paid the price with shingle virus!!

Dr.Bedard is my primary physician and has been for several years.She Is very compassionate and tries to alleviate all my concerns every time I visit with her. She explains everything to me and sends me to the proper specialist(s) when and If needed. She goes above and beyond. The only reason my rating Is good instead of Very good is because there still needs to be improvement in the wait time, call answering time, and referral Issues (which has improved) but It has no reflection on Dr. Bedard, She Is great!
