Biography

Mireya VanDerSlice, NP, practices primary care medicine. Her care philosophy involves educating her patients so they can actively participate in their treatment plans. She is particularly interested in preventive care, diabetes and lung and kidney problems.

NP VanDerSlice is originally from Mexico. She trained at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and is board-certified by the ANCC. She enjoys talking with her patients to help them understand their belief systems. She believes this is a critical step in helping her patients learn about their health conditions and what they can do to improve.

NP VanDerSlice enjoys guiding her patients in their journey toward continuous improvement in their quality of life. Her favorite part of being an NP is having the opportunity to work with a great team of physicians, nurses, case managers and leadership. She lives with her husband and son in Medina County. NP VanDerSlice enjoys traveling to different countries, spending time with her family on her ranch, running and volunteering at church.
