Caitlin Martin, NP

I was born in Waco, Texas, but was raised right outside in a small town called Abbott. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing I worked in a variety of critical care areas. These ranged from trauma centers, cardiac care units, and even cerebrovascular ICUs. After serving patients in these roles I became motivated to find ways to introduce them to the power of preventative care and primary medicine.
I enrolled in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where I earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education. Subsequently I worked as a critical care educator at a level 1 trauma center where I taught future nurses what it means to be a patient's partner in their health journey. My approach to patient care is very relaxed but I always strive to develop a plan tailored to each patient's unique needs. During my time as an educator, I realized how much I missed direct relationships with patients so I decided to become a family nurse practitioner ' and I never looked back. I love the variety family medicine and being able to grow with children and families. It warms my heart to know that I play a role in my patients' well-being.
I am married my husband, Cody, and I have a daughter. To make sure our family stays healthy, we enjoy dancing, doing anything on the water, cooking and spending our Sundays at Church.
