He pays attention to my medical history, takes time to answer questions, helps navigate referrals to and information from specialists (I am currently seeing cardiologist and bladder oncologist). Mike was the one who noticed negative indications in routine tests and convinced me to consult my oncologist (who found the bladder cancer) and the cardiologist (who installed life saving pacemaker within less than a month).All through this I "felt fine". Frankly, Mike saved my life by paying attention.

He reviews your meds with you and explains the benefits and any side effects that may occur. He is friendly but professional. I have recommended him before to a friend and she likes him too. Mike pays good attention to my lab reports, follows up with me on other specialist care providers (bladder cancer, cardiologist), asks questions about general health (diet, exercise), has excellent personal skills with patients. Most importantly, twice now due to his vigilant review of my physical tests and astute questions about how I felt (when I insisted I felt fine), he has referred me to specialists who determined I was NOT fine. The first diagnosed bladder cancer, caught early enough to treat with surgery and BCG. The second was 10 days into 30 days of heart monitoring when he sent me to hospital for immediate pacemaker implant due to long irregular pauses that could have caused immediate death. Folks under Mike's care are very fortunate.

Mr. Connor read all the notes from referral specialists in my record and followed up with a question to me about a medication that was mentioned by one of the specialist that had not been mentioned to me or ordered to the Pharmacy Because of Mr Connor’s action I was able to follow through with the specialist and the order was sent to the Pharnacy. Mr Connor was also very through with my husband and followed through. We were very impressed with the superb caliber of Mr Connor’s communication and medical care. He should be personally commended and given an award. He was definitely exceptional in every way and in comparison to other NPs who have provided care to us.

He is more concerned about the checklist on his laptop than listening to me. He sits with his back to you and his nose in his laptop. That doesn't make me think that he is listening to me. I had just told him that I was concerned because I hadn't eaten food in over 6 months, that my pain level was at 8.5 or 9, that I was miserable and just wanted to curl up in a fetal position in the corner and he says "Have you thought about getting a mammograms" NO! That is not at all what I am thinking about.!!

When wellmed acquired the practice I had been going to for 30+ years the doctors they put in place were awful. The operation was in total disarray and I began looking for a new practice. I happened to talk to Mike Conner on one occasion and found him to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic, traits missing from all the wellmed doctors i had dealt with. I never expected to prefer a nurse practitioner to an MD but Mike Conner is the only reason I am still a wellmed patient. He is totally outstanding.
