He listened to me. He took the time to hear me and made additional effort to understand what I was saying. At that point I had the most horrendous headache that I have ever had in my life for seven days straight and it was difficult for me to think clearly. He was very patient with me and didn’t seem like he was trying to cut the interaction short or that he had somewhere else to be. He asked fact-finding questions instead of walking in with a diagnosis before speaking with me. He explained what he believed to be the cause of my headache and educated me on why it was not a migraine. He explained the next steps for me and, because of the quality interaction with him, I trusted his opinion on the cause of my headache. Over the next few days I realized he was absolutely right.

I have had several appointments with NP Newell and have always found him to be very professional, courteous and friendly. He always takes time to answer any questions I might have, go over lab results with me and anything else I might need. If I were to be honest, I would have to say that I would rather see a Family Nurse Practitioner or physician assistant anytime. It has been my experience that they are more compassionate, caring and thorough than some physicians.

Nurse Practitioner Newall took the opportunity on our first meeting to inquire thoroughly about my health history and to ask what my concerns were. He took affirmative steps to make referrals at that time to specialists he felt were appropriate. He also gave me complete information about the first set of blood labs that I had in the WellMed system. He inspires confidence in his professionalism and competence.

He should not be allowed to work with senior citizens due to the fact he lacks compassion & respect for people. He continually spoke down to me & was not approachable in any way. No smile at all & rushed through his routine without explaining. William is the main reason I can NOT give this location a higher grade. Everyone else does an exceptional job. 10 gold stars.

I believe I was misdiagnosed; he prescribed an antibiotic and salve for my eye but gave me instructions not to get the salve in the eye". I am not sure how that would be possible as the burning and blisters were in the corner of my eye. Two days after seeing him I went to an eye specialist and had shingles around my eye.

He seemed to be rushed throughout my appt. Didn't refill my prescriptions from my previous PCP with the same amounts, they were less, with no consultation or explanation. I didn't realize that untill I picked them up at the pharmacy. I would prefer the same amount. I will probably call and inquire, this happened recently.

He was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. However, My appointment was made with my PCM (Kristopher Koch), at no time was I informed I was seeing someone else. If I hadn't asked why I wasn't in one of Dr. Koch's usual rooms, PA Newell would have been a complete surprise to me (No fault of his.)

The only reason I was there was to get refills for my medications. Insurance companies and medical professionals keep changing whom they provide to. Wasn't this mans fault. He got me what I came for. Just a long drive, unsafe neighborhood and wasn't able to see anyone earlier than six months out from the time I needed medical attention. Had to use a local Urgent Care instead. Hopeful my last doctor can renew her contract so I do not need to go back to this facility. Location is inconvenient and had to call insurance company to get this appointment. No choices. Jumped when I had to and took a chance. I lost!
