Biography

Katherine Genrich, MD, strives to treat every patient as she would her family members. She chose a specialty in family medicine because she enjoys working with patients of all ages—especially the geriatric population, which she says brings her lots of joy.

Dr. Genrich is a fourth-generation resident of El Paso, Texas, where she was born and raised. She pursued a career in medicine because she wanted to serve and care for her fellow community members. She earned her medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey. Geriatrics, dementia, obesity and preventive care are some of her many clinical interests.

Building relationships with patients and helping them navigate their health is Dr. Genrich’s favorite aspect of serving as a medical doctor. Her favorite activities include trying new pizzerias, attending local sporting events, being active in her church community and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
